Taking up the camera and aspiring to be a “Fine Art” photographer has brought me few grander rewards. Trudging out before sunrise to windless, pristine dunes in Death Valley or skulking around in abandoned and derelict, shadow strewn Bryon Hot Springs Hotel or shivering in the dead of a winter night awed before the grandeur of a fog laced Yosemite Valley are their own reward. Yet that is not near enough: I aspire to push beyond ingrained limitations to record these scenes, interpret them, and gain acceptance by holding the results up in the clear, bright, unerring light of public scrutiny. – Tony Williams
